I mounted the mid shelf under the main shelf and it works great as a place to park laptops, note books and letter trays so I can keep the main shelf/desktop clear of everything but the task at hand. Depth is enough to hold everything but shallow enough that I don't bump into it even when I perch on a wobble stool.

I have my monitor situated on the Mid Shelf and I still have a ton of room on either side and in front; there's truly a ton of real estate on the Mid Shelf. Great quality (as always) in a cute lil modular system :)

I recently bought the desk with a few shelves, but as I was using the desk, I realized I would benefit from an additional shelf to give myself height for my monitor and more writing space. This was the perfect addition, and I love that I am able to customize by adding things depending on ongoing needs while working from home.

Works as described and expected! Sometimes I like using it as my main desk instead of the piece included with the WFH standing desk. This piece had made switching to standing from sitting easier for me. If you've been needing more desk space and like building vertically, this should help.
